First coast trip of '11

We hadnt been to the coast since before Thanksgiving when Grandma Nell came to visit so we decided to jump in the car last Saturday and make the trip. It was overcast but mild, around 50 degrees with little wind which is rare for the coast at anytime. We stopped in Winchester Bay and walked down on the docks getting a close up view of the crabbing boats there. We then drove south to Coos Bay for lunch then headed out to the beach. This beach access was new for us, the area had a board walk and viewing point which was great. The surf was bigger then we had seen especially last summer. We spent some time flying Harrison's kite and walked up and down the beach. It was a great day! We will for sure come back to this spot as it's easy to access the beach from the parking area. Bowling

A few weekends ago we got out for some bowling action! Beau with the great bowling form! Harrison has has some good practice after playing Nintendo Wii sports!  

Weekend Hike

Last weekend Harrison and Dad got out for a hike. The trail is about 10 miles from CG off of hwy 58, it's 6 miles and tracks though old growth forest. It was a great day to get outside and enjoy nature! Enjoy the pictures.

Grant's 1st Birthday and Happy Thanksgiving!

 So today is Thanksgiving and Grant's first Birthday! It is hard to believe that he is now 1. It seems like yesterday that we were driving to Laramie, Wy to see if we were going to have a baby or not. Of course, we did and this past year has been full of wonderful memories because of Grant Jackson, he is such a sweet and kind boy! We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, surrounded by loved ones and lots of great food! I know we are very thankful for what we have and where we are, and very thankful for our beautiful and healthy boys! Here are some pictures of Grant's birthday and of the boys together!

November Update

So, the rainy season has finally come to the Southern Willamette Valley, therefore causing the Yates' family to find activities inside. Grant seems to like this because he gets to play a lot more with his big Brother. Activities that the boys' are enjoying inside are building with Legos, rolling balls around the living room and crawling all around the house. Beau has started to work out again and getting ready to train for another marathon in May, which will be the 'Famous Potato' in Boise. Yvonne is steady with work and for now it seems to be calming down a bit. Here are a few pictures of the handsome Yates' boys.
