Yaquina Bay crabbing-Newport, OR
Ryan and Krystal came to visit us last weekend, we went crabbing on Yaquina Bay in Newport. We rented a 15 foot aluminum boat, had both ring traps and one crab pot. We set out in the bay around 10am and crabbed for about 4 hours. We caught 22 Dungeons crab and 2 red rocks. The shop where we rented the boat also cooks the crab right there off the docks, then has a shucking table to de-shell and clean your catch! Harrison thought it was pretty cool to be out on the water catching those crab. After our crabbing trip we drove Hwy 101 south stopping in Depot Bay for clam chowder then though Florence and Reedsport back to CG. Overall a great trip and awesome time! Good to have some family visit. We hope everyone is doing well. Looking forward to having Tim and Eileen out this weekend! Take care, enjoy the pictures.
