Run With The Horses Race

Over the weekend Beau ran in the Run with the Horses 1/2 marathon in Green River, WY. We drove there the night before and staying the night at the Hampton Inn. Harrison had a great time swimming in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub! It was nice to get away for a night. The race went well and Beau posted a personal best time. The course was a little different then past races with 6.55 miles of the 13.1 up hill!! There was about 200 runners at the starting line. Harrison again ran the last 50 feet or so with Dad which is becoming a tradition! Harrison says he wants to run a marathon sometime too! We look forward to seeing everyone here soon when Beau runs in the City of Trees marathon Oct. 4th. Overall it was a great weekend and great race. We hope everyone enjoys the pictures. Take care and we'll talk soon.

Next Adventure

Next weekend we are heading to Green River, WY. Beau is running in a half marathon race there. Then the next weekend after that we hope, weather permitting, Beau plan's on hiking Sugar Loaf Mountain, elevation 11,500. There is a picnic area at the base where Yvonne and Harrison will hang out. We'll post some picture of the summit in a few weeks. Here's a picture off the internet.

Anyway not much going on with the Yates family lately. We're looking to leave the Rawlins area soon with Yvonne's job, maybe a transfer maybe another way. The post office is still waiting to hire a carrier so that is in limbo. We're keeping a positive attitude and look to be living else where next year.

The weather has cooled down quickly here. Today was only 60. We're afraid snow will start flying soon. But hey white snowy holidays is cool right? We hope everyone is doing well. We miss and love you all! Take care.

Camping Trip # 2

We all went camping last weekend in the Medicine Bow national forest 1 hour south of Rawlins. On the way up we took pictures of two moose in the wild, what an awesome sight! Our campsite was close to the Little North Fork River, which you can see Harrison got in some fishing! That night we froze our you know what's off with the temps ranging in the mid 30's! The elevation was around 8000ft. We plan on taking a day trip and hike the tallest peak which is around 11,000ft. We'll post pictures soon. We hope everyone enjoys. Take care.
